Let’s say you want to get a little help with an upcoming essay you’ve got to write, and you’re taking to the internet to locate some help. How can you be sure which of the huge array of essay-help sites are legit and which will leave you frustrated and with less cash in your bank account? Thousands of students look for academic help online every day. Most, unfortunately, end up with unreliable, low-quality sites that fail to deliver on their promise. My name is Tom, and I am a writing tutor and editor for Killer Papers, the highest-quality academic writing service in the world. If you’re wondering, “Is EssayBox Legit,” then you’re in the right place! I’m writing this EssayBox review to help you decide how to choose a quality essay-help service and expose the truth about this company.
TL/DR: EssayBox is NOT a good service! They’re a low-quality operation that employs foreign writers and stiffs unhappy clients on refunds. They make claims on their site that are blatantly untrue and seem to pay for good reviews. Save yourself time, money, and even some stress and check out a reputable academic-help service like Killer Papers instead.
The first step when deciding if a service is legit is checking out its online presence. At first glance, the EssayBox site is pretty generic. Stock image background, and they get right in there with their pricing. You might be fooled by the low starting price, but look a little closer.
This price is for a high school essay with a deadline a full month away.
Naturally, the moment you move the deadline closer or choose a different grade level, the price shoots up.
But that’s not all, not by a long shot.
EssayBox also charges you extra for a native English-speaking tutor. Yup, you read that right.
They have three levels of tutors, and only the highest level offers you a native English speaker. While they claim on the site that they only work with the best in the business and that their employees are all English speakers from the US or the UK, there are tell-tale signs that this is not true.
First, if you look at the web copy on their own site, it is clear to the trained eye that it was not written (or edited!) by anyone whose first language is English.
Just treat yourself to this little gem:
This kind of archaic, weird figure of speech is precisely the kind of thing English as a foreign language students and teachers LOVE.
It is the type of expression you would learn in your high school English class in, oh, I don’t know, Ukraine.
That’s nothing against these people either. But, if you’ve ever been on a tech support line with someone from India, you probably know what I’m talking about here.
Which brings me to another concerning point: Where is EssayBox based?
They have a US/Canada toll-free number on their site, which someone with a heavy Eastern European accent answers whenever you call it (ask me how I know!).
Absolutely nothing gives you a hint of where the company is actually registered and runs from. They claim EssayBox is incorporated in a US-based LLC, which is what many fly-by-night essay-help sites do to hide their actual countries of origin.
These are all tell-tale signs that this is not a legit, American-run company and is instead run by foreign scammers.
One way of checking out a company or service you are considering is to read their reviews on reliable sites like SiteJabber. The problem with this, however, is that I have noticed that all of these smaller, lesser-known essay-help services seem to have a disproportionate number of five-star reviews.
Without fail, SiteJabber will indicate that 96% of their reviews over the last 12 months have been positive.
Really? So basically, every single person who uses them is totally happy and nobody ever has anything bad to say?
That’s pretty unlikely, especially considering all the crazy red flags you’ve seen already.
It is interesting, then, that I came across these reviews within five minutes of starting my research.
This next one from an employee is probably the most telling. They clue us in to the company being based in Ukraine while claiming to be in the US.
They further illuminate that most of the employees there don’t seem to understand English at all.
Many negative reviews report terrible writing quality, poor customer service, and a blatant refusal to refund.
A quick look at EssayBox’s site will show you that these are all aspects they claim to take great pride in. The site gives multiple assurances that they will refund 100% of your money if you aren’t satisfied.
Well, there are quite a few of their unsuspecting customers who would beg to disagree.
Besides pricing, the most important consideration when looking for an essay-help service is the quality of work you can expect. As the saying goes, talk is cheap.
Making claims online about how good your writing tutors are and how many five-star reviews you have is one thing, but seeing examples of the work is quite another. This is why so many of these essay-help sites feature essay samples. In most cases I’ve seen, however, the joke is on them as they don’t have anybody in-house who can make these essays sound like a native English speaker wrote them.
Have a look at this apparent “thesis” introduction I found on EssayBox.org.
This is the stuff they deem so good that it will get them new clients. Really, it blows my mind.
I double-dare you to explain what the writer was trying to say here.
That’s OK, I’ll wait.
Overall, the number one complaint from disgruntled students who used EssayBox is the complete and utter lack of writing quality. Students receive unusable papers, get no revisions when requested, and have no chance of being refunded.
Again, this goes 100% against all the claims made on EssayBox.org.
The only way to ensure you don’t end up in tears is to use a reputable essay-help site like Killer Papers. We only employ US/Canadian college graduates who are all native English speakers. What’s more, you can chat with a bunch of tutors about your project before you choose the one you feel is the best fit.
Don’t waste your time, money, and mental health on EssayBox.
Seriously, this essay-help “service” is more trouble than it is worth. Reviews mention how they buy favorable reviews from shady sites specializing in this kind of thing and offer their clients discounts for good reviews. That is underhanded and dishonest!
No student on a deadline needs the additional stress of being scammed by a site that will take your money, send you an unusable essay clearly written by a non-Native English speaker, and then REFUSE to refund you.
Do yourself a favor and check out Killer Papers. Post a project request and see what it is like to talk with actual US college graduates who are specialists in their fields. What’s more, we will be more than happy to chat with you about all the details of your paper before you have to pay, and you get to choose your own writer.
Now, that’s the kind of service you deserve!
Like I said, my name is Tom, and I’m a writer over here at Killer Papers. If you like what you’ve read from me today, you can even request to work with me directly on the site.
I hope to see you soon!
