Starting My Research: Reviewing This Essay Writing Service

Let’s start by talking about who exactly EssayPro is. I’ve done a TON of research on this company, and I’m very familiar with their operations, who they are, and what exactly they do. While they might seem like a pretty normal company that specializes in academic writing and research papers, there’s a lot more going on here than first meets the eye.

Understanding EssayPro & Develux

EssayPro is owned by a larger company called Skillhub, which also owns Develux, which is based in Ukraine. This is all publicly available online.

Develux is a company that seems to provide a little bit of everything, including web content, IT solutions, and outsourcing in developing countries. It’s a pretty normal company that’s set up in a foreign country. They can hire local people to do work for both consumers and companies in the United States and other more affluent countries, charge high prices, and pay local wages.

It’s not a bad business model if you’re looking to make some money. In fact, I know a few people who do something similar in the IT world.

For services like timely delivery of web and social media content, it’s actually a pretty decent idea. This way, they get to help people living in impoverished countries who are having financial struggles and enrich themselves as they offer affordable rates to people they work with.

The term for this is known as “outsourcing." Every major company does this today, but it’s often for “easy” tasks that don’t require error-free work. If you’ve ever been on the phone with a tech support person from India, you know what I’m talking about.

You can see that Skillhub owns them at the very bottom of their website. It’s in their footer.

Three seconds of Googling around shows exactly this: they’re a Ukraine-based company that is also known to operate in other developing countries. They’re not just an essay-writing service but rather a blanket content company that seems to do a lot of things.

So, what’s not to love? If they offer a range of services, why can’t essay help be on the docket, too?

Well, you need a little more information about what actually makes a great essay so that you can truly engage in an informed decision on this one.

Foreign Writing Tutors: Failing You In Academic Success

Essay Pro does not claim to be based in Ukraine, nor does it admit that it operates out of countries like Kenya. But, as you'll see here shortly, that's precisely where they're hiring talent from.

I asked their support team this exact question, and they danced around it, telling me their writers were native English speakers.

So, what’s the problem here?

Well, the truth is that someone who has learned English as their second language will never be able to fulfill the academic needs of students and subsequently do an amazing job on your research paper.

Again, think back to a time when you’ve had to deal with a foreigner on the phone to get support for an electronic issue, cancel a credit card, or even talk to a convenience store clerk from another country.

It can be very hard to communicate with these people when talking about the most basic things. If, on average, they can’t do that, what makes you think that they can legitimately excel at academic writing and receive positive feedback from satisfied customers?

We’ll get into their essay writing quality in the next section, where you can actually see their writing skills up close. For now, I’ll show you some hard evidence that they’re hiring writers in Kenya and hiding the true nature of their operation.

I Checked On Glassdoor...

I checked on Glassdoor to see reviews of what employees say it is like to work there, and what do you know, all of the “writers” who review their time with the company claim to be based in Nairobi, Kenya! 

Again, I’m not making this stuff up - you can see it in the photos below.

Let me ask you a question: Have you ever been to Kenya? Neither have I.  

While some Kenyans are proficient in English, the cultural and academic nuances are huge. Essays written without an intimate understanding of the specific requirements and expectations of, for instance, a US or UK university will not hit the mark.

This can result in papers that are off-topic, improperly formatted, or lack the depth needed to score well.

Kenya - The Worst Country To Send Your Work (And Information) To!

Additionally, there are concerns about the quality and originality of the work. There’s a troubling trend of essay mills in Kenya producing low-quality or plagiarized content. The repercussions for submitting plagiarized work are severe – ranging from failing grades to academic probation or even expulsion. No one wants to risk their academic career over a poorly written, unoriginal essay.

Lastly, let’s talk about data security.

Entrusting a foreign company with personal and financial information can be risky. Different countries have varying standards for data protection, and a breach could lead to significant consequences, including identity theft or fraud. Complete security is impossible when you’re working with a company like this, and even if you did have a positive experience in some way (you won’t), you’re still risking sending your payment details and information about your university to a very untrustworthy part of the world.

Kenya is currently known as a world leader in identity theft, as is Ukraine (where Develux is based). Considering this, you’d really be foolish to think that you’re going to get a worry-free experience with EssayPro.

In summary, while Essay Pro might seem like a convenient option when choosing an essay writing service, the underlying risks and complications make it a less-than-ideal choice.

But let’s just clear one thing up real quick...

Now, Let’s Be Clear: Comparing Essay Writing Services

This isn’t to bash people living in other countries. The team here at Killer Papers and I have traveled the world extensively and have the utmost respect for anybody willing to put in an honest day of work. We’re entrepreneurs at heart, and we genuinely do respect the hustle of anyone brave enough to start an internet business.

BUT - where we get lost is whenever customer satisfaction is placed below profits. When it comes to academic writing, we know firsthand just how challenging a job it can be. From matching a writing style to doing thorough research to following every stipulation required for a final paper, it goes without saying that this can be a hard job if you’re not well-educated.

Throw in tight deadlines, and as an academic writer, you’re often expected to make a miracle happen in just a few hours to deliver a well-written paper.

Handling tasks like these is not easy, but we love to do it. What’s more, it requires an excellent support team. Just the other day, I had a term paper that even I found to be genuinely challenging despite having done thousands of them at this point.

I honestly cannot imagine what a foreigner who lacks a deep understanding of both English and academic subjects would have done had they faced a similar challenge and had to deliver it by a tight due date. That’s why I genuinely do not understand how a service like EssayPro is anything other than a total scam.

And we’re absolutely sure that EssayPro does none of the above and provides a very low caliber of service, which is clear based on the samples they’ve posted on their site.

EssayPro? How About Essay NO!

Plus, other clues on their website tell you that this isn’t a service to trust.

I checked out a few sample essays on their site, and honestly, they were awful. They were packed with long, vague, confusing sentences that ultimately said nothing.

They were also riddled with grammar, syntax, and spelling errors. There was no clear format, thesis statement, or conclusion in any of them.

Seriously, this is basic stuff you’d expect any college-educated tutor to pick up on their academic journey.

That is, if they were actually native English speakers (which I highly doubt!), and if they were concerned with providing a reliable service.

If you’re wondering, “Is Essay Pro for real?” this alone should answer your question!

Another Terrible Review For EssayPro

Unfortunately, this poor person got what was coming to them using Essay Pro. 

I bet they were also asking, “Is Essay Pro legit?” only to be totally disappointed. Based on how upset they are and the response they received, I can’t imagine that any type of money-back guarantee was honored in this situation.

Yeah, not much for customer support! I doubt she’ll be using this service for any of his future assignments, that’s for sure!

That’s why I’m writing this Essay Pro review. To protect you from being scammed by such alleged “experts.”

On the other hand, Killer Papers guarantees that a US college-graduate tutor will handle your project. We’ve all lived the US college lifestyle, understand the culture because we share it with you, and know what US professors want. No other writing service can say something similar!

EssayPro Uses a FAKE Bidding System

Let’s talk about the ordering process over at Essay Pro.

EssayPro is a little bit smarter than most other scammy essay-writing services that will automatically pair you up with a writer. Instead of pretending to pair you up with someone qualified, they give you the illusion of choice by submitting a series of fake bids on your project.

Similar to Killer Papers, Essay Pro uses a “bidding system.” Once you upload your project to their website, writers can then submit “bids” on it.

But that’s not to say that this writing service is even kind of the same as us. Because honestly, the similarities end right there.

The issue is that these bids are pretty much always fake. I submitted a test order on EssayPro, and within 15 seconds, I had three active bids from very fake-looking profiles.

If The Writers Were Real, This Wouldn’t Be Possible...

Now, let me tell you something: It’s basically not possible to receive a bid this fast unless there’s some type of sneaky automation going on. While receiving a series of bids like this does give you the illusion that you actually get to pick your writer, it’s really just a bunch of fake profiles that are all vying for your attention.

In reality, as soon as you “accept” one of these fake bids, it’s the exact same process as most other essay writing services: They “pair” you up with a writer in the same way they would if they “assigned” a writer to your paper.

Straight from the jump, you can see that these clearly fake profiles and automatic bids are a little bit dicey in terms of this being a quality writing service. It’s the same as any automatic customer support line that tells you to “please wait while your call is connecting."

The issue is that it is almost non-existent. They have one single Instagram page with 2,000 fake followers and virtually no engagement on any of their posts. That makes no sense for a writing service of their size.

Where are all of their fans?

You see, social media is perhaps the best way to read customer reviews, as they’re often straight from the source instead of being posted on another platform. Here, you can see if customers have expressed concerns over their orders with a company and how their past clients feel about making the decision to work with them and the service provided.

Companies like EssayPro avoid using social media and drawing too much attention to it for this reason. While they have a user-friendly platform on their website, they do not routinely put out satisfactory work. This is evident based on their shady foreign writers, abominable writing samples, and unhelpful customer support.

Any legitimate service would be dying to get on social media to show the world the quality of their work. Yet, EssayPro does not for the reasons discussed here.

That doesn’t inspire much confidence in answering the burning question of “Is Essay Pro Legit?”

Comparing this service to Killer Papers’ social media presence is almost criminally cringe-worthy.

Other students have taken to the Internet to write reviews about them, criticizing how they couldn’t even get their formatting style down right and how the minimum price that EssayPro charges makes no sense when almost nothing about their submissions is even somewhat usable in an academic setting.

Plus, the samples Essay Pro is willing to put on their site are so bad.

What do the papers they help produce look like? This isn’t an example of quality work or a service that cares about you. And the fact they want you to believe all these “experts” have five-star ratings and 100% success rates is just insulting. 

The main message of this Essay Pro review is this: Trust me, you can do better. A solid writing service does NONE of these things!

Stop asking yourself, “Is Essay Pro a scam?” The answer is YES.
